How the 7-day free trial works

What you get, what we charge, and how to cancel before day 8.

  • You sign up and enter card details.
  • You get 7 days of full plan access. No feature restrictions during the trial.
  • On day 8, your card is charged the price of the plan you signed up for.
  • You can cancel any time before day 8 from your billing page. No charge.
  • After the 7 days, you can still cancel anytime. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

Why we ask for a card upfront

Two reasons: it cuts out the bots, and it means you do not have to come back and re-enter details on day 8 if RateCalc is working for you. We send a reminder email a couple of days before the charge so it is never a surprise.

Where to manage it

Settings → Billing & plan. Your trial status, current plan, next charge date, and the "Manage billing" button (which opens the Stripe portal where you cancel or update your card) all live here.

Settings → Billing & plan. Cancel any time from "Manage billing" — your access continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
Cancel from Settings → Billing → "Manage billing". This opens your Stripe customer portal where you can also update your card.
